Destination NSW appoints Nathan Ting as digital director

New South Wales state government tourism agency, Destination NSW, has appointed Nathan Ting as its digital marketing services director.

DESTINATION NSW APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR DIGITAL MARKETING SERVICES

Destination NSW CEO Sandra Chipchase announced today the appointment of Mr Nathan Ting to the position of Director, Digital Marketing Services.

Ms Chipchase said, “Nathan impressed the interview panel with his extensive experience in digital marketing, digital data analytics and social media across high-profile and innovative brands as well as in leading digital and creative agencies.

“Nathan has worked with some of the world’s best known brands; Microsoft, Xbox, Coca Cola, Volkswagen, Panasonic, Procter & Gamble and most recently at Diageo. He has accelerated the digital growth of travel and media organisations including Adventure World, National Geographic

Traveller and NewsLifeMedia, and driven cross functional teams on the development of data-led solutions and experiences across the full spectrum of digital media.

“Destination NSW’s digital and social media channels reach a combined fan and follower community of over 14.9 million people globally making us the number one performing State tourism website in the country as well as putting us in the top 10 largest destination and accommodation websites in Australia.

“With Nathan’s experience and proven innovative approach, we look forward to him joining the organisation and continuing to drive growth in engagement and conversion for the industry from our digital platforms,” Ms Chipchase said.

Mr Ting said he was delighted to be joining the number one destination marketing and events organisation in Australia.

“Destination NSW has a fantastic reputation for creativity and innovation, and as leaders in the tourism digital and social space in Australia. Mr Ting will commence in his role on 28 November.
