Directors’ Guild opens early entries for ADG Awards

The Australian Directors’ Guild has announced early entries are now available for the ADG Awards to be held in early May 2013.

The announcement:

The Australian Directors Guild (ADG) has announced that Earlybird Entries for the 2013 ADG Awards will officially open on November 14.

The Awards are to be held on May 3, 2013.

Earlybird deadline for entry in the Awards is December 7th; regular entry deadline is February 15, 2013.  Earlybird entries receive a $15 discount.

To be eligible for the Awards, all work must have screened publically for the first time between July 1, 2011 and December 31st, 2012, except for student films where the project needs only to have been completed within these dates.

Award applicants must be financial ADG members for the 2012 – 2013 year.  Membership details available at: http://www.adg.org.au/membership.aspx.

Executive Director of the Australian Directors’ Guild, Kingston Anderson, said:  “Our 30th anniversary Awards earlier this year was a great night and we’re planning to make the 2013 event a night to remember, which celebrates and applauds the achievements of our directing colleagues.”

The 18 categories in the 2012 ADG Awards are:

4.  Documentary Standalone
5.  Documentary Feature
6.  Documentary Series
7.  TV Drama Series
8.  TV Mini Series
9.  TV Drama Serial
10. TV Comedy
11. TV Reality / light entertainment
12. TV Children’s
13. Cross Platform project
14. Original online project
15. TVC
16. Short film
17. Music video
18. Student
