DJE Holdings wins Amazon’s retail PR pitch, with Revere to lead account

Global independent communications and marketing group Daniel J Edelman Holdings (DJE Holdings) has won the PR account for Amazon, Mumbrella can reveal.

Mumbrella understands DJE Holdings’ Revere will lead the account by creating a bespoke communications offering with a whole team dedicated to the account.

DJE Holdings’ Revere has won the Amazon account in multiple markets around the world including Australia

The appointment comes two months after Amazon pitched its PR account, putting incumbent agency Weber Shandwick on notice.

Revere is its own agency within the DJE Holdings group of agencies and specialises in technology clients.

DJE Holdings’ other companies include global PR giant Edelman, Zeno, Assembly, Edible, Edelman Intelligence and Krispr.

Last month, Amazon Australia appointed TBWA to its creative account while in December Uber’s head of communications, Katie Curran, joined the e-commerce giant as the head of communications.

IPG Mediabrands won the media account for Amazon in November with promises to set up a new entity to service the account.

Just last week, Edelman won the PR account for Unilever Corporate and five of its consumer brands Dove, Vaseline, Simple, Tresemme and St Ives.

The Unilever win came just weeks after Edelman was appointed to Tourism Fiji’s roster of agencies which also includes PEPR and Poem.

Amazon and Revere has been approached for comment while Edelman declined to comment.
