Dominic Walsh switches from Blue Marlin to Interbrand

Independent brand design agency Blue Marlin’s MD Dominic Walsh is quitting the agency to become managing partner at Omnicom-aligned Interbrand Sydney.

His brief will be to bring in more consumer packaging briefs to sit alongside Interbrand’s current main focus on corporate branding.  

Interbrand CEO Damian Borchok told Mumbrella: “Our view is that that part of the market is crying out for a fresh approach.”

He added: “Having worked with Dominic before, I know he is absolutely the right guy for the job and he will be joining the best design and strategy teams under one roof.”

Prior to his three years with Blue Marlin, Walsh was marketing director at WPP agency Landor.

Blue Marlin CEO Andrew Eyles said: “Dom has done a great job for us and we wish him well. We will announce his successor shortly.”
