DR MUMBO: Superman meets Batman; Superbowl meets 3D; Burger King’s Facebook stunt

batmanvssupermanIt’s a prospect any male demographic would be keen to see – Batman and Superman sharing celluloid. It’s also not actually going to happen anytime soon.

But it featured in the ruined New York backdrop of near-future Will Smith flick I Am Legend. Indeed, the top 25 fictional ads of all time are run down on the web site Den of Geek. Others include the intelligent ads from Minority Report that know who you are by scanning your retina, and the Back to the Future 3-D ad for Jaws 19.

intel-3dglasses1Speaking of 3D ads, the day has arrived faster than you might have expected.  US viewers will enjoy an all-3D ad break, it was announced this week. Dreamworks, Pepsi, Intel and NBC are teaming up for the February 1 media first, which includes the distribution of 125m pairs of 3D glasses.

Looking for presents for whores or an expert sexchange? Aussie digital agency Amnesia might just be able to help. They’ve listed what they claim as the ten worst URLs in the world. (In case you haven’t worked it out, the top two are a site called Who Represents and another called Experts Exchange. Probably best to stay away from Therapist Finder though.

Burger King, the people who brought us the brilliant Whopper Freakout and the controversial Whopper Virgins, have done it again. Would you be willing to sacrifice ten of your Facebook friends for a free Whopper? Dr Mumbo had been mulling a cull anyway….
