Drive appoints newly-created role of media director

Drive, an Australian automotive editorial and content website, has appointed former CarsGuide and Autotrader national sales director, Carl Davies, into the newly formed role of media director, Drive.

Davies brings more than 20 years’ experience in media sales to Drive –13 of those within the automotive industry, including senior sales leadership roles with CarSales and more recently CarsGuide.

CEO of Drive, Simon Halfhide said Carl’s appointment to head up the Drive media commercial team is a strong signal of Drive’s growth ambitions in the automotive marketplace in 2022.

“We’re thrilled to have Carl join the Drive team in 2022. His experience within the digital automotive space is highly regarded amongst agencies and automotive brands alike. Since the consolidation of the CarAdvice and Drive brands in August 2021, we’ve seen an incredible increase in commercial interest in Drive, and I have no doubt that Carl’s reputation within the industry for innovation and performance will help continue Drive’s expansion through 2022 and beyond”, he said.
