Eaon Pritchard moves brand side, joining Moula as head of communications

Eaon Pritchard has joined Moula as head of communications, marking a departure from the advertising industry, moving to the brand side.

Pritchard joins the finance company after 11 years in Melbourne’s ad industry.

Pritchard told Mumbrella: “I’ve changed industries but the mission is still the same, after 25 or so years of helping brands grow through advertising, I’ll now be helping good businesses to grow through smarter funding and payments products.”

Moula is an “exciting creative company”, according to Pritchard, which applies evidence-based marketing and scaling up fast in a category “shaping the future of financial services”.

Moula is a financial lending business, founded by ‘industry experts’, using technology to simplify small business finance.

“What’s the difference going brand side?” asks Pritchard. “Well, the intensity and pace at Moula are a bit like how agencies used to be. And we have a roadmap of product and service innovation that will get done, rather than just talked about.”

Pritchard has recently been consulting for ScienceFiction, an independent agency based out of Melbourne, as well as directing his own consultancy firm ArtScienceTechnology.

Pritchard is moving brand-side

Pritchard’s past work includes roles as head of strategy at UM Melbourne, head of strategy, government at Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific and head of digital strategy at BWM Dentsu.

A strategy specialist, Pritchard has worked in creative, digital and media agencies over the past two decades, being brought across by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne in 2010.
