Easter ad wrap: Cadbury’s live Easter egg hunt, Big W’s raining Easter eggs and iSelect’s smashed pinata

From Big W's raining Easter eggs, Cadbury's live Easter egg hunt to iSelect's frustrated, pinata smashing mother, Mumbrella rounds up the Easter ads which have hit our screens in the lead up to the holiday.

Cadbury

Cadbury has launched a Facebook live Easter egg hunt with a live 360 Facebook video.

The campaign aims to give everyone the experience of an Easter egg hunt no matter where in Australia they are.

Created by Ogilvy, the winner of the Easter egg Hunt, which took place on Thursday March 15, won Cadbury chocolates.

The first person to spot an egg and comment on the post, won.

Big W

Big W’s ‘Let’s Easter’ campaign created by M&C Saatchi, aimed to bring to life the joy Easter brings children and families.

The 30 second television commercial features children running around collecting Easter eggs as they fall from the sky.

iSelect

iSelect promoted its health insurance offering while sneaking in an Easter reference as a mother smashes the Easter Bunny shaped pinata.

The ad draws on the frustrations Australians feel when they are hit with a rise in insurance rates and premiums.

The Royals is iSelect’s creative agency of record.

Woolworths

Target

Supermarket giant Woolworths has wished its customers a happy Easter by featuring a dad jumping on a trampoline full of chocolate Easter eggs.

The ad concludes with the father and daughter laying on the grass surrounded by Easter eggs as the father says “that’s why I pick Woolies for Easter”.

In another spot, Woolworths promotes its hot cross buns which are cooked during an Easter barbecue.

M&C Saatchi is Woolworths’ creative agency of record.

Woolworths’ director of marketing, Andrew Hicks, said in a statement: “Easter is our second biggest seasonal event of the year, just behind Christmas and is something that we look forward to every year.

“A core part of Easter is spending time with family and friends, with food at the heart of these gatherings and we also know it’s important for our customers to get great value on their Easter favourites.

“From mouth-watering, award winning hot cross buns, everything you need for the perfect Easter egg hunt right through to entertaining with beautiful fresh Australian seafood, Woolworths has everything you need this Easter.”

Target

Target has celebrated the Easter holiday with an easter egg hunt, similar to Big W.

The ‘Incredibunny’ 15 second spot shows children playing in trees and collecting chocolate eggs while wearing Easter themed pyjamas from Target.

Target’s Easter ad ends with five children catching Easter eggs as they fall from the sky.

AJF Partnership is Target’s creative agency of record.
