Edge and Carat win creative and media for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

Edge has been appointed by Australian producer Michael Cassel Group (MCG) to handle strategy, creative and promotion of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo when it arrives in Sydney in 2019.

Carat have been appointed to handle media strategy and implementation, following a competitive pitch.

Mirroring the show at Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo showcase military and civilian acts from around the world.

MCG head of marketing, Luca Asrress, said: “Edge presented an impressive team with a deep understanding of event & theatrical productions. Edge’s strategy and creative work was a standout winner for us.”

David Stretch, managing director at Edge, added: “After the success of Kinky Boots, it’s great to have another opportunity to work with the team at Michael Cassel Group. Over the years we’ve developed a good understanding of the nuances of event marketing, which we’ll be drawing on. Saying that, this event is like no other: it’s a remarkable blend of music, ceremony, theatre and dance, which I know Sydneysiders will love.”

This win builds on Edge’s other event marketing clients, including Kinky Boots and most recently The Sydney 2018 Invictus Games.
