EEAA introduces Hall of Fame to recognise repeat winners

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) will introduce a Hall of Fame to its Awards for Excellence to recognise winers who have won their category for three consecutive years.

The announcement:

A Hall of Fame will be introduced at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) Awards for Excellence, to recognise repeat winners who are best-in-category for Australasia.

EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio, said the EEAA Awards Hall of Fame would recognise entrants which had won their category three years in a row and demonstrated a consistent level of excellence and outstanding achievement.

“This change will recognise the shows, teams or companies that have shone consistently with their service, professionalism, creativity and business success,” said Ms DiMascio.

“It will also pave the way for other high achievers to attract a share of the winner’s spotlight.”

Entries are now open for the prestigious EEAA awards, which honour organisers, venues, suppliers and people working in trade and consumer shows across Australia and in NZ. Entries close on 12 September.

EEAA member venues host around 500 events each year creating a rich mix of events and industry categories including 100 new events. This provides a rich source of potential for celebrating a broad range of entries.

The 2014 Awards for Excellence will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20 November. The awards recognise leadership within the industry and provide an opportunity for EEAA members to showcase achievements. Entries will be judged by a panel of independent industry experts.

The Awards night has gone from strength to strength and it is generously supported by partners who so far include: FABframe, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australian Technology Park and Ode Management.

Winners from the 2013 Awards for Excellence have commented on the value of winning an EEAA Awards for Excellence:

“ExpoNet enters the EEAA Awards for Excellence for a variety of reasons. These include the ability to benchmark your products and services against your competitors, the contribution towards staff morale in what is a very demanding industry, and the ability to use the award in your marketing/PR plans. Well done to the EEAA for enabling the industry to recognise successful businesses in the exhibition industry.” Jim Delahunty, Managing Director, ExpoNet

“There’s nothing more rewarding than being recognised as the top in your field. And in the super-competitive world of design that means a lot! Entering and winning the EEAA Awards of Excellence for custom stand design on several occasions has placed us in a great position to promote ourselves to our customers. And our success in the EEAA Awards of Excellence means a huge competitive advantage others will find hard to beat! Nothing sells like success!” Iain Gorry, Managing Director, VAN DEN BERG Design Team

“The EMI team is honored to have won two awards last year for the inaugural Dog Lovers Show. We highly value the recognition by our industry peers and the awards have also provided us with additional credibility throughout the pet sector.” Jason Humphris, Show Director, Event Management International
