AEC has launched its new elections ads

The Australian Electoral Commission has launched an information campaign highlighting changes to voting rules for the Senate and deadlines for enrolling to vote in the pending Federal Election.

The multi-faceted campaign by BMF uses stop-motion animation and paper models to deliver the messages through three campaigns – on which is an overarching brand campaign.

BMF managing director, Steve McCardle, said it was a rare opportunity to help inform Australians about the importance of the election.

“It’s not every day you’re given the task to rally the whole country to take advantage of their democratic right, and this time we needed to mark the change to the voting system by changing up our creative approach,” McCardle said.

“We think its simplicity and elegance will ensure it communicates with the clarity and purpose an event of this importance requires.”
