Emotive has hired Rhian Mason as head of content distribution, focusing on social and earned media.

Mason joins from DDB Group’s Mango Communications after 18 months as head of social and content. “Emotive do things differently, as a long-time admirer of their approach to creativity and brand storytelling, I’m super excited to be joining the team and working alongside some brilliant people,” Mason said.

“Their ability to own the whole creative journey is what sets them apart. From strategy and ideas, to audience experience and distribution, having the opportunity to flex my content expertise and develop the distribution arm further is what made this opportunity so exciting. With an undeniable momentum behind them and a fantastic set of clients, I can’t wait to get started.”

Mason’s appointment follows a period growth for Emotive, adding Modibodi, Pernod Ricard, and ARN to its client base of Optus, Hello Fresh, Audible, Unilever, Google, YoPro, Nutriboost and the Australian Turf Club.

Emotive founder and CEO Simon Joyce commented: “We are so excited to have Rhian on board. It’s another key step in the ongoing evolution of Emotive and our mission to assemble a truly unique team of specialised talent.

“Ensuring big ideas are found by the right audience has never been more challenging, and as a creative agency, our content distribution offering is a true differentiator that ensures ideas come to life in channel exactly as they were intended to.”
