Energizer and Eveready license partner 8 Star Energy hires Diana Di Cecco as CMO

8 Star Energy has hired former GPC general manager of marketing Diana Di Cecco as its new CMO. The company is the license partner for Energizer energy storage systems and portable power solutions and Eveready portable power stations.

Di Cecco joins 8 Star Energy as CMO

Di Cecco started this week and will work with the business to boost the profile of its brands in Australia as well as its work to keep up with the changing needs of consumers and enterprises.

The role includes strategy, GTM execution, planning, media, social media, search, PR, innovation, brand, revenue and more, and will also include development of formal governance and more structured business planning.

“I am thrilled to take on this role and join the team at 8 Star Energy,” Di Cecco told Mumbrella. “Importantly, I am privileged to have landed in a future growth industry with a group of outstanding people. Sometimes the universe can take you by surprise and deal you exactly what you asked for, and this time, I received exactly that. So, I’m taking the opportunity with two hands and running like the wind.“

Di Cecco also confirmed the business would be embarking on “a global launch of a product that will transform the renewables sector”.

“I’m only one day in so my primary objective is to learn about the business,” she said. “But in a startup, you don’t have time to ponder so I will be focussed on launching into key markets, driving sustainable growth, measuring ROI, developing GTM and working on overarching business strategies. I believe the current WIP list is already over 200 items so I look forward to helping the team get through that!”

Di Cecco was instrumental in the Repco, Supercars and Bathurst 1000 partnership deal

Di Cecco joins having spent the last two and a half years as the general manager of marketing, ANZ, at GPC – the parent company of brands including Repco, Sparesbox and NAPA Auto Parts.

She was instrumental in the recently announced partnership between Supercars and the Bathurst 1000 for Repco, which will become the naming rights partner of the series and the race.

Di Cecco was recently a guest on the Mumbrellacast, which you can listen to here.
