Enero to merge Precinct comms agency into Hotwire as part of group reshuffle

Comms agency Precinct is to be absorbed into sister company Hotwire as part of a restructure by parent group, Enero.

The merger, which Enero claims will not result in any job losses, will see Precinct’s former managing director, Jaime Nelson, become Hotwire’s MD for strategy and marketing services while current MD, Mylan Vu, will retain responsibility for the merged companies’ communications team.

Enero revealed the move alongside the announcement of the merger between Enero’s BMF and Naked agencies.

Barbara Bates, Hotwire’s  global CEO, said of the move: “At Hotwire, we’re constantly looking ahead at what our clients need from us today and to keep pace with what they’ll need in the future.

“The media relations pool has radically changed, the value of owned content is skyrocketing, and the pressure on marketers to be more strategic about high stakes communications is at an all-time high. Marketers need partners that understand all aspects of their remit and can flex and scale as they need. We’re proud to be welcoming Jaime and the Precinct team and to further build our marketing strategy capabilities to meet the needs of marketing leaders around the world.”

Nelson added: “Our business has been going from strength to strength in Australia and there couldn’t be better timing for us to be taking our offering global by joining forces with Hotwire, a market leader and team we already collaborate with so well.

“Marketers are looking for less touch points and more results across their branding, strategy and reputation needs, and this move to combine our capabilities and teams with Hotwire is a timely step toward offering clients a single point of contact to seamlessly drive the rapidly evolving and increasingly complex parts of their marketing engines.”

Vu said: “Jaime’s team brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing fields we are regularly being asked about by local and global clients, including in branding, creative design, internal communications, investor communications and events.

“We’re looking forward to being able to meet more of our clients’ needs through a more integrated offering, while also providing our teams stronger training and upskilling opportunities throughout their career, becoming more rounded marketing experts in addition to their communications skills.”
