Sally is currently BBC Studios Global Franchise Director for Doctor Who, overseeing the BBC’s leading drama franchise, loved by audiences across the world. Sally’s role is focused on regenerating this classic brand, introducing the first female Doctor and her new team, to new audiences.
Sally works closely with the creative team to support the delivery of the fresh new look and feel for the Series and has responsibility for the overall commercial performance of the franchise. Sally spearheads relationships within the BBC Group, international broadcasters and platforms and has oversight of all ancillary audience touchpoints across consumer products, publishing, gaming, brand partnerships and live events.
Prior to her work on Doctor Who, Sally was Head of Drama, Brands at BBC Worldwide most notably leading Sherlock. She led the brand to global domination and audience delight, delivering global multi award winning campaigns for the last three series, overseeing a portfolio of product and taking the brand to China, where it has been viewed by over 69 million people and the theatrical screenings of The Abominable Bride beat Star Wars at the Box Office.
