Epic Hall merges into digital marketing agency Liquorice

Peter Tehan is merging his marketing business Epic Hall into digital marketing agency Liquorice.

Following the merger, Tehan will take over the role of managing director of Liquorice from Scott Bonanno, who will become CEO.

Prior to joining Epic Hall in 2009, Tehan was the managing partner of his own advertising agency Hayes Berry Tehan.

Tehan said that the merger made sense for both businesses and it would also allow Bonanno to grow Liquorice’s sister company Dokio.

“I’ve known Scott for 10 years and watched his business flourish in that time. The design and digital technology he offers to clients is fantastic. It’s an area we didn’t really cover so I’m pleased to be able to add it to our marketing armoury,” Tehan said.

“The Dokio business—a sister company of Liquorice—that Scott has built from scratch, is growing internationally and my appointment will allow Scott to develop that even more.”

The merger comes after IRIS Worldwide came on board as Liquorice’s international equity partner.

Bonanno said: “We’re excited to have Peter on board. He has fantastic advertising and marketing credentials and has worked with some of the biggest brands and at some of the best agencies in the country. We look forward to utilising his skills in brand building, marketing strategy, advertising, and more. With the IRIS connection and now Peter on board, it’s exciting times ahead for Liquorice.”
