Acoustic, a marketing cloud, digital experience and lifecycle pricing and promotion technology solution provider, announced today that Michaela Aguilar has joined the team as head of business partnership ecosystem.

In her new role, Michaela will be responsible for business development and expansion, working with partners and the Acoustic team to create new revenue opportunities in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. Michaela will also support partners as they work on customers’ long-term needs, from implementation to enablement and expansion, with the goal of helping customers maximize their MarTech investments.

Michaela joins Acoustic from agency holding group Havas where she was head of customer experience and analytics, helping to integrate contemporary digital skills and processes within its media agency. She brings more than 30 years of experience working in the digital and technology industry, and is a specialist in online churn analysis, customer retention, conversion optimisation and personalisation.

“We are excited to welcome Michaela to the Acoustic team. With Michaela, we not only get a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, but we also gain her strategic and unique ability to deliver genuinely innovative solutions for brands,” said Jeremy Smart, VP of Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan at Acoustic. “Michaela joins us during an exciting time for Acoustic in the APJ region: we’ve recently opened an Australian, cloud-based data centre and continue to expand our headcount in the region to better support local customers and partners. Michaela’s understanding of the industry landscape and proven leadership abilities will be invaluable to Acoustic’s growth.”

Joining the internet industry during its inception within the Australian business landscape, Michaela has spent her career working in organisations that have shaped the local digital market. She was an early mover in the creation of websites using persona-based methodologies, which at the time, was the first approach taking the consumer into consideration when developing digital experiences. Michaela also led a successful conversion rate optimisation (CRO) business, expanding it into Australia and positioning it as more attractive to potential buyers. Under her leadership, the business was sold to Havas.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Acoustic team at a time when digital customer experiences – and the partner relationships that support them – are more important than ever,” said Michaela Aguilar, head of business partnership ecosystem at Acoustic. “Businesses need innovative marketing and CX solutions that are agile, scalable and privacy-compliant – Acoustic offers just that. I look forward to working with the team and our partners to find opportunities to orchestrate and optimize the consumer journey from start to finish.”

In addition to her extensive experience, Michaela is also passionate about championing women in technology and education. She has spent several years working with the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) as a tutor for the industry body’s digital marketing course.

Acoustic continues to expand its growth in the region, with the company’s workforce in Australia increasing 78% since 2020.
