Ex-Hit 92.9 announcer Juelz Jarry lands weekend breakfast gig

Southern Cross Austereo has refreshed the lineup of its weekend breakfast show across the national Hit Network, with the addition of Juelz Jarry.

She joins Dylan Alcott and Angus O’Loughlin on the show, with her move meaning that all three members of the now-defunct Hit92.9 Perth breakfast show have found new positions within the SCA radio network.

Jarry spent one year as a full-time host of the Hit Perth breakfast show, with Xavier Ellis and Pete Curulli, joining in 2019 to replace Heidi Anderson.

Prior to that, she presented breakfast out of the Hit Network’s Bunbury office across regional WA.

Jarry has been with SCA since 2006 when she got started as a sales coordinator, before her first on-air gig came in Dubbo in regional NSW.

As mentioned, all three former Hit Perth breakfast hosts have now moved to other on-air roles at SCA, with Ellis joining the new Triple M Perth breakfast team alongside Basil Zempilas and Jenna Clarke.

Meanwhile, Curulli stepped into the shoes of the retiring Dean ‘Clairsy’ Clairs at SCA’s other Perth station Mix94.5, to host breakfast with Matt Dyktynski and Kymba Cahill.

SCA made the decision to axe Hit92.9 Perth after years of middling ratings performances, and has instead expanded the Triple M network to the city for the first time.
