Ex-McCann GM Nicole Gardner joins Edge as account management lead

Creative agency Edge has appointed ex-McCann GM Nicole Gardner to its exec team in the role of executive director – account management.

Gardner left her role as McCann’s GM in February last year, when she took up a position as head of account management AI technology company Quantcast.

Before joining McCann, Gardner was the group account director at SMART, which was acquired by McCann in 2011. Following the acquisition, Gardner became client services director at McCann and was promoted to general manager one year later.

Edge managing director David Stretch said: “Nicole is an extremely accomplished industry professional that is highly respected by everyone who has worked with her. She has a fabulous track record in leading strong teams and delivering results. We’re delighted to have her join the Edge team – we share a very aligned view on how we want to extend out to our clients our unique approach to fusing content and comms.”

Edge, over the past 12 months has won accounts including WW (formerly Weight Watchers), Wattyl, NGS Super, Vero Insurance and Retail Food Group.
