Fairfax drops The Furnace in favour of Whybin TBWA and Samuelson Talbot

Ad agency The Furnace has been dropped from the creative roster for Fairfax Media’s consumer classifieds division.

Samuelson Talbot takes charge of the MyCareer employment and Drive motoring brands, and Whybin TBWA take responsibility for the Domain property brand. Both agencies already have existing relationships with Fairfax Media, but are now assuming responsibility for the integrated brands across print, online and mobile.

Jeff Lim, Fairfax Media’s national marketing director of consumer classifieds, said of The Furnace: “I’m pleased we are able to end our partnership on a high note with the creative campaigns which will continue in market for some time to come; this includes Domain’s Radar lifestyle search campaign, MyCareer’s Head Hunter campaign and the Drive Marketplace campaign.”

Paul Bradbury, MD of Whybin TBWA, said: “We are thrilled to be extending our relationship with Fairfax Media to include Domain and the digital side of the business.  We are up for that challenge.”

Bob Talbot, CEO of Samuelson Talbot, said: “The integrated off and on-line brands My Career and Drive represent a great business challenge and opportunity.”
