Fairfax journo Jessica McInerney joins Seafood Industry Australia as comms manager
Recently formed peak industry body, Seafood Industry Australia, has appointed former Fairfax senior journalist, Jessica McInerney as its first media and Communications manager.

Seafood Industry Australia (SIA) has appointed Jessica McInerney to the role of Media and Communications Manager.
Jessica joins the team from her last role as a Senior Journalist with Fairfax Media.
Jessica has a wealth of experience in PR, Marketing, Advertising, Social Media and Journalism. She has experience with agribusiness and primary production and has worked alongside a number of high-profile FMCG clients such as Ingham, Queen Fine Foods, Aeroplane Jelly and Accolade Wines.
“I’m thrilled to join the SIA team,” Jessica said.
“Australia’s seafood is some of the best in the world and I look forward to working with a global leader in the industry.”
SIA CEO Jane Lovell said they are excited to welcome Jessica into the organisation.
“We’re excited to have Jessica on board,” she said.
“SIA launched last year and formed to give a united voice to Australia’s commercial fishing industry. We represent the sector as a whole and have members from wild catch, aquaculture and downstream in the post-harvest sectors.
“Jessica has some great creative plans to help us get our ship together and we look forward to what the next 12 months will bring.”
