Fairfax Media appoints Matt Rowley as chief revenue officer
Fairfax Media has appointed Matt Rowley as chief revenue officer for Australian Metro Publishing, following the departure of chief revenue officer Tom Armstrong yesterday.
Rowley joined Fairfax in October last year as the publishing company’s chief development officer.
Joining Fairfax in 2014, Armstrong, left the company – which publishes the likes of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review – just weeks after his role changed from commercial director of FairFax Media to chief revenue officer of the metro division.
Fairfax Media has also appointed Andrew Mudgway as national sales director – agency.
Mudgway joined Fairfax in 2015 as Victorian agency sales director and he will start his new role with the company today.
The appointments come as Fairfax journalists recently passed a no confidence motion in the company’s restructuring consultations.
