Fairfax offers Herald for $2.50 a week
A sign reaches Dr Mumbo of Fairfax’s desperate attempts to shore up circulation. They’ve been going door-to-door in the Enmore and Newtown areas of Sydney and offering seven days a week subscriptions to the Sydney Morning Herald and Sun-Herald for $2.50 a week for the next six months.

Surely the money spent on sending people out on the streets would be better spent developing the future of their business on the web rather than trying to prop up a print business that is dying. When will the papers learn?
