Fairfax postpones revealing strategy

Fairfax’s long awaited update on its strategic plans has been delayed again, the Sydney Morning Herald reports today.

According to the Fairfax-owned paper, the promised investor day, in which CEO Brian McCarthy will set out a new strategy for the company, will now take place after the company AGM in November. It had previously been flagged for this month.

A key issue to be addressed is how the company structures its print and online operations. At present, there is relatively little integration between the two.
