Fairfax veteran to lead Are Media’s homes vertical

Are Media has appointed Fairfax veteran Lisa Hudson to the newly created role of general manager – homes, where she will steer some of the publisher’s biggest titles.

Hudson will lead Are Media’s homes vertical including Better Homes & Gardens, Home Beautiful, Australian House & Garden, Inside Out, Belle, Country Style, and Homes to Love.

She comes with a wealth of experience, including roles as launch editor of the(sydney)magazine, group editor of Fairfax general magazines, and chief executive and publisher, Fairfax magazines.

Hudson is the latest to be appointed GM of a vertical, joining Susan Armstrong, Nicky Biger, and Nicole Byers as general managers of entertainment, fashion and beauty, and lifestyle – part of Are Media’s strategy to “step up its investment in content verticals and accelerate its transformation to an omnichannel content business.”
