Felicity Loughrey replaces Damien Woolnough as online editor of Vogue

News Magazines has hired a new editor of Vogue’s online edition vogue.com.au, following the move of Damien Woolnough to The Australian, where he is now fashion editor.

Felicity Loughrey joins from The Style Glossy in New York, where she was managing editor. She will report to Vogue Australia’s editor-in-chief Kirstie Clements, with a brief to develop content ideas that grow the brand’s readership.

“Felicity brings an ideal mix of editorial and digital expertise to Vogue.com.au having worked with many of the world’s most prestigious fashion magazines, blogs and digital platforms,” said Mark Kelly, group publisher, lifestyle at News Magazines.

“She has already launched Vogue Australia’s first Tumblr site, and is now busy developing a digital editorial strategy to cement Vogue.com.au’s position as Australia’s definitive online fashion bible.”

Loughrey’s writing career includes contributions to GQ, sunday magazine, Allure, Vogue Living, Holiday Goddess, Travellogged, Life & Beauty Weekly and The Inside Source.

She was also a freelance digital copywriter at JWT and Sapient Nitro in New York.
