Finder hires first chief people officer to drive global culture

Comparison site Finder has continued to expand its senior team with the appointment of its first chief people officer.

Shanyn Payne joins the Australian fintech ten months after leaving payments platform Afterpay Touch, where she was global human resources director, and founding her own agency, Start Up HR.

The newly created role will see Payne shape the company culture across the 30 markets where Finder has a presence.

Finder, which acquired Southeast Asian comparison brand GoBear earlier this year, expects to double its workforce to 1,000 over the next 2years.

Payne’s appointment follows that of former Gizmodo Australia editor Tegan Jones as global reviews editor, and Adam Freedman as head of PR and communications.

Founder and co-chief executive Frank Restuccia said: “A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, Shanyn’s remit includes introducing new initiatives to ensure that we’re doing all that we can to foster the best possible culture at Finder.

“Our amazing crew are the heartbeat of Finder and Shanyn’s role is dedicated to helping them thrive and be their authentic selves in the workplace.”
