First Test draws most watched entertainment show of the night as Air Rescue slips back

air rescueThe first test of Australia and the West Indies drew 592,000 metropolitan viewers last night to be the most watched non-news television show of the night.

The result came on a quiet night for television viewing with Mighty Cruise Ships on Seven at 7pm and Great Getaways on Nine pulling 522,000 and 530,000 respectively.

Branded content show Air Rescue at 8pm on Seven drew 442,000.

In the news race Seven won the 6pm bulletin with 981,000 compared while Nine had 958,000. In the 6.30pm slot Nine beat Seven with 899,000 and compared with 880,000.

Grand Designs Australia was the most watched program on pay-TV with 117,000 viewers on Lifestyle.

Nine had the highest main channel audience share with 17.30 per cent, followed by Seven on 16.30 per cent, Ten 13.3 per cent and the ABC on 10.5 per cent.
