Florence Paoli the new marketing director of Reckitt Hygiene ANZ

Reckitt has appointed Florence Paoli as marketing director for Australia and New Zealand.

The announcement:

Leading FMCG business, Reckitt, today confirms the appointment of Florence Paoli as marketing director for Australia and New Zealand, to oversee the business’ highly successful consumer hygiene portfolio.

Florence commenced working with the ANZ team in March 2022, adding to her already decade-long career at Reckitt, across both its Hygiene and Health business units in various global and local roles. Most recently she was global brand marketing manager for Harpic, leading the sanitation innovation globally.

Through her tenure at Reckitt Florence has developed a genuine passion, and to her own admission, responsibility, for building purpose-led brands that have positive impacts on societal issues. Her immediate immersion into Reckitt Hygiene’s local efforts of brands like Finish, Glen20 and Air Wick, has provided her with an exciting first few months in the role.

Speaking about the opportunity to join the high-performing team, Florence said: “I can already see that the Reckitt Hygiene team in ANZ has big ambitions to continue creating products and campaigns that address everyday challenges or help solve issues that impact our communities. I am impressed by the impact achieved to date via local activation including the Glen 20 partnership with Meals on Wheel donating 50,000 hygiene kits to vulnerable Australians.

A passionate advocate of diversity and inclusion, Florence is excited to join the Reckitt Hygiene ANZ leadership team which has a 50:50 gender split. She will continue to drive this agenda internally as the Global Comms Lead for the Women@Reckitt Employee Resource Group and as a member of the Reckitt ANZ Diversity and Inclusion committee, encouraging the business and her colleagues to welcome and nurture different points of view, to generate the best ideas and give a voice to the diversity of our world.

In talking about opportunities for the Hygiene industry in Australia and New Zealand, Florence says embracing the challenge to keep up with our ever-evolving digital landscape is at the forefront of her strategy for 2023. “I’m looking forward to working with the team to strengthen Reckitt’s digital capabilities, finding effective strategies to leverage the channels where our consumers are spending most of their time, to create a meaningful conversation with our brands.”

Reckitt Hygiene ANZ regional director, Oliver Tatlow, says Florence has already carried her trademark considered approach to the marketing team, leveraging her performance coaching experience to enable those around her to be the best version of themselves. “We are thrilled to have Florence join our leadership team, and are excited to see her take our team from strength to strength. Not only has Florence brought her global expertise to this role, but also a genuine dedication to support the culture of people and purpose led performance, which we’re so proud of here at Reckitt. We have big ambitions across the Hygiene portfolio and Florence has the focus and commitment required to lead us into next year as we strive to create a cleaner, healthier world for our consumers.”

Florence Paoli replaces Saurabh Jain, who after two years as Reckitt Hygiene’s ANZ marketing director has returned to his native India to continue his career with Reckitt as regional marketing director & SPOC, South Asia.
