Former King Content managers launch Context agency

Melbourne content agency Context has emerged from the ruins of King Content.

Led by former King Content managers Laura Stansfeld, Nancy Csutoros and Jeff Trounce, the Context team has picked up a number of their former employer’s key contracts and opened a Perth office after being appointed to the marketing panel for Tourism WA.

The three principals of the new agency first worked together at Lonely Planet and, since reuniting under the Context name late last year, have been working with former King Content clients including CPA Australia, Beyondblue and the RAC.

In April, The Works and RXP opened content agency Daresay, also staffed by former King Content employees working with the failed agency’s previous clients.

“We’ve spent the past few months quietly bedding down our approach,” said Trounce, the former Hardie Grant general manager who joined King Content in 2016.

“Lately we’ve been busy in new discussions and we expect to announce more new projects and clients very soon. Being a new financial year, now seems the right time to go more public.”

Csutoros added: “The idea of running our own content marketing agency had always been in the back of our minds. With the closure of King Content, we had a fantastic opportunity to create an independent agency on our terms, which is so liberating.”
