Former Mastercard marketer Anthony Dumont surfaces at Fairfax Media
Anthony Dumont, former vice president of consumer and digital marketing at Mastercard Australia, has resurfaced at Fairfax Media, as head of the finance and banking advertising vertical.
Dumont, who worked with Mastercard for more than 10 years across various roles, spent part of his career on agency side, in roles at ZenithOptimedia, The Campaign Palace, Y&R and Clemenger BBDO.
He joins Fairfax Media following a reshape of the commercial team, which sees members operating under verticals. Fairfax Media’s commercial verticals are business and government – which includes finance, retail, government, energy & resources, tech & telco – as well as luxury and lifestyle, which is made up of travel, auto, food and entertainment, luxury, sport and wagering.
Dumont will be responsible for the finance division. He joins Phillipa Walker and former Volvo marketer Oliver Peagam, who lead the travel and automotive sectors respectively.
Chris Nardi, national head of business and government at Fairfax Media, said he was thrilled to have Dumont join the team.
“He will be vital in bringing extra focus to this very important area of our business,” Nardi said.
Matt Rowley, chief revenue officer at Fairfax Media, added: “Anthony is another great example of a leader in our organisation who has lived and breathed our customers’ challenges.”
Dumont said he was excited to join the newly structured team: “I’m looking forward to helping marketers in the Finance space solve their marketing challenges by leveraging the value of the premium Fairfax network and audience.”
