Former UK Labour Party speechwriter and Expedia Group global leader to speak at Mumbrella360

The former chief speechwriter for the UK Labour Party and now Sydney Policy Lab’s Director, Professor Marc Stears, will speak at Mumbrella360 in Sydney on June 4-6.

Stears was the former chief speechwriter for the UK Labour Party and has worked at both the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford

Professor Stears will tackle the question of repairing trust in our democracy at a time where people are feeling more disempowered than ever.

He will investigate instances where decision-making in institutions does not lie with users of services or the front-line workforce, but instead is increasingly the purview of a small, often removed, group.

Now based in Sydney, Professor Stears was previously the CEO of the New Economics Foundation in London, a professor of political theory at The University of Oxford, a lecturer at The University of Cambridge and is an associate fellow at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford.

Also confirmed to speak is Seattle-based Expedia Group Media Solutions global vice president of business development, Wendy Olson Killion.

Olson Killion will fly in from Seattle to discuss the intersection of data and creativity

At Mumbrella360, Olson Killion will discuss the intersection of data and creativity and how personalisation is changing the rules of engagement. She’ll explore how to deliver a personalised consumer experience rooted in both data and creativity, which is even more critical now with shifting consumer and industry expectations raising the bar on advertising.

Mumbrella360 takes place at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney beginning with a half day of networking on June 4 before two full conference days on June 5-6. Savvy Saver tickets are available now.
