FORWARD unveils major leadership changes

Fergus Kibble – the managing director and founder of creative public relations (PR) agency, FORWARD – has announced that he is “transitioning out of the business”, with general manager Caroline Lovejoy set to step into the role.

Kibble’s transition is expected to take place “over the next four months.” He’ll stay involved with the company’s operations, but is expected to officially leave in January 2025. At the same time, Lovejoy’s new appointment will take effect immediately.

“Leading FORWARD has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am immensely proud of our team’s achievements,” said Kibble.

“After the agency’s acquisition early last year, we have carefully planned this transition. I am confident our clients are in the best possible hands with Caroline at the helm.

“Her leadership, experience, and profound understanding of communications and public relations ideally position her to steer FORWARD into its next phase.”

Kibble is credited with facilitating the agency’s position and success as a top-tier “creative consumer PR agency” via his creativity, leadership and strategic direction.

Likewise, Lovejoy’s work with FORWARD over the past eight years has been cited as a reason for the organisation’s growth, particularly in rewarded clients with positive results.

Lovejoy said: “Fergus and I have worked together for many years, and I’m excited to step into this new role and continue the legacy he has built.”

“We have a really talented team, I’m eager to see what the future holds for us as we evolve and adapt to meet our clients’ changing needs.”

Founded by Kibble in 2012, FORWARD was sold to GrowthOps two years ago, with 2024 seeing the agency hit “its biggest year ever in terms of revenue and growth”.

The leadership changes come over a week after the company was named as the PR and digital agency for snacks and dessert brand, Wicked Sisters. A few days ago, it also helped deliver an activism-centric campaign for ice cream brand, Ben & Jerry’s.
