The shake up in Melbourne radio has continued with FoxFM’s Fifi & Dave breakfast show anchor Dan Anstey to be replaced by Byron Cooke.

Cooke is currently a host on sister Central Coast regional station SeaFM.

Hit Network head of content Dave Cameron said in a statement: “Dan has had a fantastic two years with FoxFM in the anchor role and we are now looking for options for Dan’s next chapter on air in a greater capacity to showcase his strengths and desire to do more.

“I want to thank Dan for being a critical member of the Fifi & Dave show and would like to welcome Byron back to Fox FM.”

Cooke – named International Radio Personality of the Year in 2012 – will replace Dan Anstey from January and will also host a new national Australian music show across the Hit Network.

Anstey’s departure is just the latest change in the Melbourne breakfast radio market ahead of 2016, after Jane Hall was dumped by rival ARN for Meshel Laurie and Laurie’s breakfast partner of two years Tommy Little was told he would not be returning next year.
