Foxtel launches Foxtel First loyalty program to encourage customer tenure

Foxtel has launched its first-ever loyalty program which will reward customers based entirely on tenure.

Foxtel First has four levels of rewards, based on length of tenure, each with different rewards.

Foxtel will now be rewarding customers for their tenure with Foxtel First

Bronze will reward Foxtel customers from 0-3 years, Silver for 3-8 years, Gold for 8-15 and Diamond for 15+. Each level will unlock exclusive benefits, no matter how much a consumer spends. The rewards will be available if a consumer has dropped their spending, and consumers who spend more on their account will not receive better rewards than ones on a lower pricing model.

Bronze rewards are experience focused, including tickets for sport and cinema events, such as cricket, A-League, and Grand Prix, as well as competitions to win tickets for exclusive experiences such as a meet and greet with the Paw Patrol stars at Sea World, including flights and accommodation.

Silver will offer exclusive viewing, including advances for some of Foxtel’s content, Gold will allow discounted iQ4 access and free multi-room set up, while Diamond will give customers free iQ4 set up and priority customer service.

All Foxtel First customers will receive a free movie upon sign up.

Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany said the scheme had been developed to respond to the demands of Foxtel customers who want to be rewarded for their loyalty to the company.

“Foxtel First is another step in our strategy to provide our customers with the best in TV and on demand all in one place, at the best value.

“The launch of Foxtel First is about recognising our customers’ loyalty based on how long they have been with us. It delivers customers more value through experiences and benefits which only get better the longer they have been with us.

“We have sourced great rewards for our customers through our network of partners across sports, cinema, music and TV. We’ve also lined up our best technology and priority service for our most loyal customers to make sure they are experiencing the best of Foxtel.

“The great thing about Foxtel First is it’s free to join and this is only the beginning. Foxtel First will continue to grow with more benefits and more rewards to be added in the coming months,” said Delany.

The program is free to join and allows instant access to rewards. As of yet, Foxtel Now customers will not have access to the rewards and neither will customers who access Foxtel through Telstra, which has its own rewards scheme. However, the subscription TV business will honour the tenure of consumers who switch from Telstra to hosting their account directly thought Foxtel.

The Foxtel First announcement follows on from a series of Foxtel developments in the last few months, including the relaunch of its entertainment and lifestyle offering, and the introduction of Netflix onto the Foxtel interface. Foxtel plans to continue to entice consumers into longer tenure with the introduction of more rewards and more incentives for its Platinum users, including Netflix subscriptions.
