Foxtel supports bushfire relief and recovery efforts with Red Cross donation and customer assistance package

Foxtel today announced it would make a $100,000 donation to the Red Cross bushfire relief and recovery fund to assist people and communities affected by bushfires across Australia.

Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany said: “The scale of what has unfolded across Australia this summer and the tragic impact of the fires on people, communities and our unique environment has been hard to comprehend.

“We want everyone in the communities affected to know that we support them as they deal with the emergency they currently face and in the future as they begin the long process of recovery.

“We also want to let our customers affected know that we are thinking of them and we are here to help. While their Foxtel service might not be a priority just now, when they are ready our team is here to assist,” Mr Delany said.

To support customers affected by the recent bushfires, Foxtel has put in place a series of support measures including:

Free Foxtel installation in temporary accommodation for customers evacuated from their regular residence.
Free transfer of service to new accommodation for customers evacuated from their regular residence.
Suspension of service for up to 12 months with no fees for affected customers who contact us.
Waive early termination fee for disconnection of service for customers who have experienced severe damage due to bush fires.
Replacement at no charge of damaged equipment e.g. satellite dish and Foxtel set top unit.
Extended payment periods for customers suffering financial hardship as a result of the bush fires.

For customers who return to home and their Foxtel service is not working should call 131 999 and our team will do everything they can to get their service back up and running as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if customers have access to the internet, Foxtel Go is also available on their mobile device or tablet.
