Frank PR alumni Jodie Moses and Olivia Meena launch Candid Communications

Jodie Moses and Olivia Meena have launched their own public relations agency, Candid Communications.

The agency has launched with foundation client H&R Block, and will also be working with ready made made meal delivery services Macros and Soulara, Skullcandy Oz, Soundbooks and The R8.

The pair came together during their time at Enero’s PR agency Frank, where they worked on the H&R Block account.

Marketing and digital innovations director at H&R Block, Louise Cummins, said: “H&R Block is excited to be part of the Candid community. Knowing both Olivia and Jodie from previous professional relationships, we are excited to be a founding client believing in their passion for publicity, creativity and innovative ways of working; as we continue to evolve and grow our business.”

Moses spent over three years at Frank, and prior to that spent time at EVH and Two Birds. Meena joined the agency in 2019 after a period of freelancing with Fleishman Hillard, Fuel Communications and Illuminate Communications.

Meena believes the agency will draw in business due to its ability to be candid with clients.

“We pride ourselves on being able to have ‘that’ conversation, you know the one most PR people try to avoid, we’re not afraid to tell a brand the truth and work with them to shape, evolve and craft solutions,” she said.

The agency’s point of difference, Meena told Mumbrella, is being “open, honest, transparent and sincere.”

Moses added: “Starting an agency at this time could be seen as crazy. We believe there is a gap in the market where agility is needed now more than ever before. We respond to the business issue at hand, quickly, creatively and with thought. Our clients receive concentrated focus and hands-on high-level expertise. We act as a true extension of their internal team.”
