Gemma Sampson returns to Kate & Co after seven years at Myer

Boutique, strategic comms agency Kate & Co has announced the return of Gemma Sampson, originally one of the agency’s first hires by founder and director Kate Keane.

The gig is Sampson’s first as a freelance public relations professional since ending a stint of over seven years as the national PR manager at Myer.

Kate & Co revealed Sampson has come on board to assist with the busy Spring PR season, and will be based out of Melbourne.

Her time at Myer saw Sampson work across national brand ambassadors, seasonal launches and events, brand sponsorships and partnerships such as the Victoria Racing Club and Myer Fashions on the Field.

With such extensive prior senior fashion and racing experience, Sampson’s remit will include projects like the Lexus Melbourne Cup and Melbourne Fashion Week.

“I’m thrilled that Gemma has made a return to the Kate & Co. PR family in a contract role. Her longevity and permanence in the communications industry is a real testament to the publicist she is today,” founder and managing director Kate Keane said.
