Google senior industry manager Jye Hainsworth will present a session on the world of healthcare and insurance in a period where consumer expectations are rapidly changing and they are seeking greater assistance.

Focusing on the health insurance space, Hainsworth will explore current consumer habits, look at the technology that is available to brands and agencies and discuss how these new opportunities are changing the way that health marketers should be communicating with their consumers.

Swan, host of Health Report on ABC Radio National, will explore ageing Australia and assert that it’s a myth

Meanwhile, media personality Dr Norman Swan, host and producer of The Health Report on ABC and co-founder of Tonic Health Media, will discuss the ageing myth and why it matters to marketers.

Swan will assert that Australia’s ageing population is a myth and affects attitudes, product design and marketing potentially in misconceived ways. He will pull the myth apart, show how we’re not ageing at all and reveal the real causes of living longer. Swan will also tackle the greater ramifications to marketers based on recent research.

In another newly announced session, DVM Law founders Stephen Digby and Stephen von Muenster will show marketers how to give their data a detailed health check.

They will provide high-level legal compliance tips as well as look at the traps, legal risks and issues that need to be considered by health marketers on a daily basis. These will be in relation to the GDPR, the Mandatory Data Breach Notification Scheme and privacy and spam laws.

Other brands already confirmed to present at the summit include 28 by Sam Wood, VicHealth, WE Buchan and The Big Anxiety.
