GetUp launches spoof ANZ Barbara bank ad
Campaigning organisation GetUp has created a pastiche of ANZ’s Barbara the bank manager ads targeting unfair penalty fees.
The campaign was developed in-house by GetUp with production by Sydney’s Motion Pictures.
The original Barbara lives in Bankworld campaign was created for ANZ by M&C Saatchi.
ANZ is currently subject to a class action over penalty fees. GetUp and consumer group Choice are both campaigning on the issue.

Glad there is some criticism directed the banks way but It would have been good if Get Up had gone after those at the top rather perpetuating the ANZ angle that its all the fault of branch staff.

not sure what the point of this is Get Up. ANZ would be extremely happy that you are making their ad more famous. If this is meant to be an anti – bank ad it doesn’t work – it doesn’t even get close. Seriously, you’re supporting ANZ.
