First international speaker announced for Mumbrella360, plus call for submissions continues

The head of evangelism for Bing at Microsoft, Christi Olson, is the first international keynote speaker to be announced for next year’s Mumbrella360 conference in June.

Olson has led digital marketing teams for over a decade including at Microsoft, Expedia, Harry & David, Pointmarc and Point It and is currently on the board of directors of SEMPO. She was also voted by PPC Hero as one of the most influential pay-per-click experts in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Mumbrella360 will be her first visit to Australia.

Microsoft’s head of evangelism for Bing, Christi Olson, will tackle AI trends now and in the future at Mumbrella360 2018

At Microsoft, Olson helps businesses solve their marketing challenges and goals through studying and analysing data to develop insights and strategies. She also contributes to a wide range of marketing media and has spoken at conferences including DMexco, AdWeek and CES.

In her keynote at Mumbrella360, Olson will address the future trends of AI and how the technology is currently evolving. AI promises an even bigger change to marketing than mobile brought on. With over 500 million people already using a digital assistant of some kind, it illustrates just how quickly AI is going to evolve and how much data is being fed into improving it.

Mumbrella360 takes place at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney beginning with a networking event on June 12, 2018, followed by two days of conference sessions on June 13 and 14.

Submissions for session ideas are open, with successful ideas receiving 40 free session passes to invite colleagues and clients

A key component of the conference – which includes four simultaneous streams of presentations, plus a separate program of masterclasses and a series of round tables – is the high level of industry participation.

The call for session submissions is open, but will close on January 26. You can submit a session idea here. Successful submissions are given a 45-minute session to run according to their own vision and are awarded 40 free session passes to invite friends and colleagues.

Previous industry-curated sessions have included the live creation of a media manifesto for the industry, Guinness World Record attempts, game shows as well as a plethora of high-level panels discussing key industry issues.

This year’s Mumbrella360 conference attracted an audience of over 2,000 people across three days

Competition for sessions is fierce, with one in every 10 usually accepted, meaning original ideas with as much detail as possible have the best chance of success.

Mumbrella360 is Australia’s largest media and marketing event, featuring a wide variety of national and international speakers discussing a vast array of topics. It’s also a two-time winner of Conference of the Year at the Australian Events Awards and had an audited attendance of 2,086 in 2017.

Details of how to propose speakers and sessions are available via this link. Super early bird tickets are also still on sale with savings of up to $800.
