Gogglebox shines in Thursday night entertainment; Nine wins overall

Ten’s Gogglebox took the entertainment crown with 557,000 metro viewers on Thursday night, while Nine claimed the overall network share win.

Gogglebox also won all three key advertising demographics. It is followed by The Chase on Seven, drawing in 498,000 metro viewers, then Home and Away also on Seven, with 455,000 viewers.

Nine’s Paramedics had 408,000 metro viewers tuning in, followed by the network’s RBT with 380,000 viewers.

Ten’s The Project at 7pm attracted 346,000 metro viewers, coming before Nine’s Hot Seat, with 341,000 watching.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Thursday with 897,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 858,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 773,000, and Nine News brought in 763,000. Next was A Current Affair which pulled in 578,000 viewers, while ABC News brought in 577,000.

In terms of overall share, Nine took the top spot with 28.7% overall network share over Seven’s 25.6%, followed by Ten’s 19.3%, and ABC on a 17.5% share.

Nine secured the top primary channel share with 20.5% while Seven followed with 16.3%. The top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7TWO with a share of 4.8%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 6 October, Seven News at 6.30 was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.36 million viewers, including 38,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS had the biggest uplift of 424% and was viewed by a total audience of 534,000, with 248,000 on BVOD.
