Gogglebox wins entertainment while Nine takes Thursday

Ten’s Gogglebox topped entertainment on Thursday, with the program also winning all three key advertising demos.

The episode aired to a metro audience of 574,000 metro viewers, however it was Nine which took the overall network share win.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 3 March, Thursday’s Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.539 million viewers, including 40,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. The program which had the biggest uplift of 33% was Seven’s Showtrial.

Next in entertainment was Seven’s Home and Away which brought in 453,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s The Chase Australia which saw an average of 438,000 metro viewers tune in.

First Dates Australia on Ten aired to 402,000 metro viewers, followed by a late showing of Home and Away on Seven which saw an average of 393,000 metro viewers tune in.

Thursday night’s NRL game saw 426,000 metro viewers tune in.

The #1 program on Thursday was Nine News which had 874,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News which aired to 853,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 had 843,000 metro viewers, and Seven News at 6:30 had 826,000.

Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.5, over Seven’s 24.8%, while Ten had a 20.9% share and the ABC had a 15.8% share.

Nine won the primary channel share and the top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7mate with a share of 3.8%.
