Government health service searches for ad agency

The government’s National Health Call Centre Network is searching for an advertising agency.

The assignment, estimated to be worth $2-3m over a year, will see the winning agency promote NHCCN’s services to the public.

NHCCN was set up in 2006 to give Australians access to all health services. Its services include nurse triage helpline healthdirect Australia, the after hours GP helpline and the pregnancy, birth and baby helpline.

The group has been using agencies on a project basis to date, and wants to find a long term partner.

Kylie White: NHCCN's first marketer

The pitch comes nine months after the appointment of the group’s first marketing manager Kylie White, who has worked at marketing group Bullseye and Wesley Corporate Health in Brisbane.

She told Mumbrella: “We’ve used a mixture of different agencies in the past, and want an ongoing relationship with a full service agency. We are happy to take advice on which media to use, and are interested in investigating online since that’s where are users are.

“We’re really passionate about what we do. We’re looking for an agency that is equally passionate,” she said.

Full details for how to enter and selection criteria are here.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday 30 August.

The selection process begins today.
