The two new appointments are newly created leadership roles – Carrie Arnold has taken on the position of director of integrated production, while Kim Gerard is head of event production.

Internally, Jess Quiney has been promoted to head of strategy, Jacquelyn Cowardin to head of audience acquisition, and Corey Hoskin to people and culture manager.

GPJ Australia senior vice president and managing director, Caleb Bush, said the new hires were an ideal fit for the agency.

“The breadth, depth and diversity of leadership, experiential and people knowledge that these appointments bring are an ideal fit for GPJ. I’m pleased to welcome our new leadership team members to GPJ, and proud to be able to recognise our existing leadership talent with three internal promotions.”

In her new role, Arnold will oversee GPJ’s audience acquisition, registration and creative technology teams. She joins the agency with more than 18 years’ experience in strategic brand communications, product innovation, experience design and digital product development gained working with organisations including Burberry, Ford Motor Company, Nike and IBM.

Gerard will manage the event production teams to ensure all events meet GPJ’s standards of delivery. Gerard has spent more than 23 years in the industry, leading and building teams and delivering large-scale events throughout Australia, USA and Asia Pacific region.

The appointment marks a return to GPJ for Gerard, who spent five years with the business as operations manager and producer until 2008.

The internal promotions see head of strategy Quiney take responsibility for all strategy practices. Quiney was recently named Strategic/ Brand Planner of the Year at the Campaign Asia Awards. Head of audience acquisition Cowardin will resume responsibility for measurement and impact across the agency, but be boosted to the leadership team. Her focus is to help drive better client-centric outcomes regarding experiential measurement. People and culture manager Hoskin will oversee GPJ’s growing talent pool.
