GPY&R Brisbane wins QSuper ahead of superannuation changes

Super Funds’ QSuper has appointed GPY&R Brisbane to handle its creative account ahead of the July 1 superannuation changes, Mumbrella can reveal.

The agency won the account following a competitive pitch, which also included Publicis and Brother & Co.

The Queensland Government super fund is one of the largest under management in Australia.

The superannuation changes mean that from 1 July, anyone can join QSuper for the first time in its 100 year history, and Queensland Government employees will also be able to nominate their fund of choice.

Tim Cochrane, head of customer and marketing for QSuper said in a statement: “GPY&R’s passion for ideas with positive outcomes is well aligned with QSuper’s dedication to guiding each member for life”.

“QSuper is an innovator in the super category and they are doing some amazing things for their current customers,” said Phil McDonald, CEO of Y&R Group ANZ.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with them to take their brand forward in the new Superannuation landscape.”

GPY&R Brisbane’s other clients include The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and the Australian Road Safety Foundation.
