GPY&R Sydney promote CDs Bart Pawlak and David Joubert to joint ECD role

ECDs_Sydney GPY&RGPY&R Sydney has promoted creative directors Bart Pawlak and David Joubert to the role of joint executive creative director, filling a gap left by Julian Watt who departed from the agency in November last year before joining Host in February.

Pawlak has been with the agency since November 2005, joining as a senior copyrighter before being promoted to creative group head in June 2008 and taking on the CD title in September 2012.

Joubert joined the agency as a creative director in August 2008.

Y&R Group Sydney managing director Andrew Dowling said in a statement: “Dave and Bart have been an integral part of the Sydney operation since joining forces in 2010.

“The guys have been highly influential in a string of new business successes, including recent NSW Government wins and the soon-to-be announced global campaign for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. Their creative approach and leadership style have made them favourites amongst the team and clients alike, making them a very valuable asset.”

The agency said it is “the last piece of the puzzle in the new Y&R Group creative structure, with Aden Hepburn continuing as creative director of VML and Tom Hoskins as CD of IdeaWorks”.
