Grill’d hops into the passenger seat with Oscar Piastri partnership

Burger chain Grill’d is officially partnering with Australian F1 driver Oscar Piastri to provide consumers with burgers packed with protein.

The limited edition ‘Oscar Piastri Burger’ has been made available from February 18 to March 31, 2025, through delivery and in-store.

Said to be low in sugar and high in vitamins and minerals, the beef burger also comes with its own specialised combo deal, featuring blood orange-flavoured Remedy Sodaly, chips, and chipotle dip.

“Both Grill’d and I were born in Melbourne and I’ve always been a long-time fan of their healthy and nutritious burgers,” Piastri shared when speaking on the new partnership.

“The burger I’ve created with the team is not only packed with protein and low sugar but it tastes great.”

Grill’d’s founder and managing director, Simon Crowe, also spoke on the partnership. According to Crowe, the burger chain is capable of genuinely connecting with athletes because it delivers both nutritional benefits and impactful flavours.

“We know that athletes love and prefer Grill’d because of our performance and nutritional benefits, but more importantly they love the taste,” Crowe said.

“Grill’d has therefore genuinely connected with athletes and so we’re pleased to partner with Melbourne’s own F1 driver Oscar Piastri,” he continued.

“When an Aussie hero such as Oscar races on home soil in Melbourne, Grill’d wants to be there and support him on and off the track.”

Piastri is the latest Australian athlete the hospitality company has worked with.

In April 2024, it partnered with boxer Harry Garside to deliver several offerings to consumers, such as customised menu items and support for local community sport. In early January in the same year, Grill’d worked with former tennis player, Ash Barty, on a pair of ‘Barty Burgers’.
