Guzman y Gomez launches re-gifting social media campaign

Mexican restaurant brand Guzman y Gomez has launched a social media campaign to promote their new gift cards.

Based around the idea of re-gifting, customers can win a prize for themselves, and a second that they can give to a friend.

To win, entrants are encouraged to take a photograph of themselves eating at an GYG restaurant and then upload it to the brand’s Facebook page. The photo with the most votes on Facebook wins.

GYG founder Steven Marks said: “In Mexican culture, enjoying food is a social and shared experience and GYG has always had that same philosophy. We  therefore felt that the concepts of giving and re-gifting were a great way to engage our market to promote the introduction of our gift cards.”
