The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce its new partnership with leading Australian wine company Handpicked Wines commencing in February 2024.

The three-year agreement will see Handpicked Wines join the Sydney Symphony as a platinum partner and presenting partner of the popular Cocktail Hour concert series.

Speaking about the partnership, Sydney Symphony Orchestra CEO Craig Whitehead said “We are delighted to welcome Handpicked Wines as our new platinum partner. As Australia’s flagship orchestra, we are committed to bringing Australian audiences the very best in live performance from the world’s greatest musicians, a dedication to craftsmanship and excellence shared by Handpicked Wines. With their support, we look forward to continuing one of our best-loved series, Cocktail Hour, during which audiences will be treated to Handpicked’s award-winning wines. A true synergy between our two fields indeed.”

William Dong, CEO of Handpicked Wines, said, “We are proud to partner with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra sharing a commitment to excellence and delivering unparalleled experiences. We believe in the magical power of artistry and craftsmanship, crafting wines that captivate the senses, much like the unforgettable symphonies created by the Orchestra.”

The Sydney Symphony’s 2024 Cocktail Hour series will commence with Mendelssohn’s Octet (12 & 13 April).

As part of the partnership, Handpicked Wines will also be served at Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s philanthropic and corporate events and used for gifting to international artists. Sydney Symphony subscribers will also gain access to exclusive offers through the subscriber benefit program, allowing them to experience Handpicked Wines’ exceptional winemaking first-hand.
